The Rio Castle, historically known as the Castle of the Morea in opposition to its counterpart, the Castle of Rumelia at Antirrio, is located at the north tip of the Rio peninsula in Achaea, Greece, at the entrance of the Corinthian Gulf. Venetian Fortress of Rio is situated 400 metres northeast of Rio West Quay.

The Rio–Antirrio Bridge, officially the Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge, is one of the world's longest multi-span cable-stayed bridges and longest of the fully suspended type. Rio–Antirrio bridge ‘Charilaos Trikoupis’ is situated 1¼ km north of Rio West Quay.

Rio railway station is a railway station in Rio, a town in the suburbs of Patras in the northwestern Peloponnese, Greece. The station is located just outside the centre of the city, on Piraeus–Patras line and Patras–Kyparissia line and is served by both Proastiakos Patras Services. Rio is situated 1¼ km south of Rio West Quay.
