Cologne Cathedral is a Catholic cathedral in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Cologne and of the administration of the Archdiocese of Cologne. Cologne Cathedral is situated 700 metres southwest of Karl-Band-Platz.

The Basilica of St. Cunibert or St. Kunibert is the last of Cologne's twelve Romanesque churches to be built. It was consecrated in 1247, one year before work on the Gothic Cologne Cathedral began. It was declared a minor basilica in 1998 by Pope John Paul II.

The Cologne University of Music is a public university of music and dance located in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Established in 1850 as the Conservatorium der Musik in Coeln, it is the largest music academy in Europe, with approximately 1,800 students from 50 nationalities, over 300 teachers and staff, and more than 100 professors. Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln is situated 210 metres northwest of Karl-Band-Platz.
