Tōdai-ji

Tōdai-ji is a Buddhist temple complex that was once one of the powerful Seven Great Temples, located in the city of Nara, Japan. The construction of the temple was an attempt to imitate Chinese temples from the much-admired Tang dynasty. Tōdai-ji is situated 440 metres south of Chisoku-in.

The Shōsō-in is the treasure house of Tōdai-ji Temple in Nara, Japan. The building is in the azekura style with a raised floor. It lies to the northwest of the Great Buddha Hall. The Shosoin Repository is situated 190 metres west of Chisoku-in.
