The Metropolitan Archdiocese of Seoul is a Metropolitan archdiocese of the Latin Church of the Catholic Church comprising the metropolitan area of Seoul, South Korea, whose province comprises parts of South Korea and all North Korea, yet depends on the missionary Dicastery for Evangelization. The Cathedral Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, informally known as Myeongdong Cathedral, is the national cathedral of the Archdiocese of Seoul. Myeongdong Cathedral is situated 290 metres east of Myeong-dong theater.

Deoksugung, also called Deoksu Palace or Deoksugung Palace, is a former royal palace in Seoul, South Korea. It was the first main palace of the 1897–1910 Korean Empire and is now a major tourist attraction. Deoksugung Palace is situated 1 km west of Myeong-dong theater.
