The site of ancient settlement at Kanka, Uzbekistan, is located in 80 km southwest of Tashkent, in the southeastern outskirts of the Eltamgali settlement. Kanka is situated 6 km northeast of Mitan.

Sayxun is an urban-type settlement in Sirdaryo Region, Uzbekistan. It is the administrative center of Sayxunobod District. The town population in 1989 was 4877 people. Sayxun is situated 10 km southwest of Mitan.
