Afro-Antillean Museum of Panama

The Afro-Antillean Museum of Panama simply known as the Afro-Antillean Museum or MAAP, is an ethnographic museum located in Panama City. The museum was founded on December 23, 1980, by Reina Torres de Araúz in the building of the Former Christian Mission Chapel. Afro-Antillean Museum of Panama is situated 280 metres southwest of Triana.

The National Archives of Panama is the institution in charge of safeguarding national documents. It was created by Law No. 43 of December 14, 1912, under the administration of President Belisario Porras, being Panama the first republic in America to have a building dedicated to its national archive.
