Georgetown Lighthouse

The Georgetown Lighthouse was first built by the Dutch in 1817 and then rebuilt in 1830. The Lighthouse, located on Water Street, is maintained by the National Trust of Guyana. You must climb 138 stairs to access the balcony.

Red House located in Kingston, Georgetown, was the official residence of the Colonial Secretary and later the Premier of British Guiana. As of 22 March 2000, it houses the Cheddi Jagan Research Centre. Red House is situated 220 metres southeast of Guyana Mining School.
