Umbrail Pass is a high mountain pass on the Italy–Switzerland border, connecting Santa Maria in Val Müstair with Bormio in the Adda valley. On the Italian side, it connects to the Stelvio Pass road and the Valtellina. Umbrail Pass is situated 3½ km east of Caserma degli Alpini.

Piz Umbrail is a mountain of the Ortler Alps, south of the Umbrail Pass, located on the border between Lombardy and Graubünden. The mountain surface is partly of rubble and partly covered by grass, and therefore of little interest to mountaineers, but its proximity to the Umbrail Pass and accessible surface make it a popular destination for other visitors.
