Ipanema is a neighbourhood located in the of the city of , Brazil, between Leblon and . The beach at Ipanema became known internationally with the popularity of the bossa nova song, "The Girl from Ipanema", written by Antônio Carlos Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes.
