The Bagdad Theatre is a movie theater in the Hawthorne District of Portland, Oregon, United States. It originally opened in 1927 and was the site of the gala premiere of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in 1975, and of My Own Private Idaho in 1991. The Hawthorne Theatre, formerly the Sunnyside Masonic Lodge, is an historic building and music venue located in Portland, Oregon's Hawthorne District. The building was completed in 1919, and formerly housed the restaurant Lucky Strike, as well as Conan's, a bar and music venue. Hawthorne Theatre is situated 1,800 feet east of Glasshaus Gardens.
