Parthenon

The Parthenon is a former temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, that was dedicated to the goddess Athena. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of classical Greek art, and the Parthenon is considered an enduring symbol of ancient Greece, Western civilisation, and democracy. Parthenon is situated 2 km south of Πλατεία Βάθης.

Platonic Academy

The Academy was founded by Plato in ca. 387 BC in Athens. Aristotle studied there for twenty years before founding his own school, the Lyceum. The academy persisted throughout the Hellenistic period as a skeptical school, until coming to an end after the death of Philo of Larissa in 83 BC. Platonic Academy is situated 1½ km west of Πλατεία Βάθης.

Omonoia is a neighborhood in downtown Athens, Greece, centered on the square of the same name and served by the Omonoia station of the Athens Metro. Historically the heart of the city, it has experienced serious urban decay in recent years, becoming plagued by drug dealing, prostitution and theft, especially in its western part.
