Berlin Anhalter Bahnhof

The Anhalter Bahnhof is a former railway terminus in Berlin, Germany, approximately 600 m southeast of Potsdamer Platz. Once one of Berlin's most important railway stations, it was severely damaged in World War II, and finally closed for traffic in 1952, when the GDR-owned Deutsche Reichsbahn rerouted all railway traffic between Berlin and places in the GDR avoiding the West Berlin area. Berlin Anhalter Bahnhof is situated 330 metres east of Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park.
Brandenburg Gate

The Brandenburg Gate is an 18th-century neoclassical monument in Berlin. One of the best-known landmarks of Germany, it was erected on the site of a former city gate that marked the start of the road from Berlin to Brandenburg an der Havel, the former capital of the Margraviate of Brandenburg. Brandenburg Gate is situated 1½ km north of Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park.
