Baikushev’s Pine

Baikushev's pine is a coniferous tree from the species Pinus heldreichii situated in the Pirin mountains of southwestern Bulgaria. It is named after its discoverer, forest ranger Kostadin Baikushev, and is located near the Banderitsa refuge. Baikushev’s Pine is situated 380 metres southwest of хижа Бъндерица.

Vihren is the highest peak of Bulgaria's Pirin Mountains. Reaching 2,914 metres, it is Bulgaria's second and the Balkans' third highest, after Musala and Mount Olympus. Vihren is situated 2½ km west of хижа Бъндерица.
