Northport is a city in Tuscaloosa County in the west central part of the State of Alabama. Located on the Black Warrior River across from downtown Tuscaloosa, it is currently the 17th most populous city in Alabama with a population of 31,125 in the 2020 census.

Alberta City is located in the northeastern portion of Tuscaloosa and is generally defined as encompassing the portions of the city east of U.S. Route 82, west of Holt, south of the Black Warrior River and north of Veterans Memorial Parkway. Alberta City is situated 4½ miles southeast of Northwood Crossings.
