The BMW Museum is the corporate museum of BMW history and was established in 1973, shortly after the 1972 Summer Olympics opened. From 2004 to 2008, it was renovated in connection with the construction of the BMW Welt, directly opposite. BMW Museum is situated 1½ km northwest of Postwiese.

Bonner Platz, 1906 named after the city of Bonn, is a square in the Schwabing district of Munich, in the Schwabing-West quarter. The underground station of the same name Bonner Platz of the line U3 is located here. Bonner Platz is situated 470 metres east of Postwiese.
