Sinchon station is a station on the Gyeongui–Jungang Line. It was opened as a railway station in 1921 and Seoul Metro traffic commenced in 2009. Sinchon is situated 330 metres northeast of 신촌동 주민센터.

Sogang University is a private Jesuit research university in Mapo, Seoul, South Korea. Sogang University was established on April 18, 1960 by the Society of Jesus, with the school being the oldest and only Jesuit institution of higher education in the country.
