The Schauinsland is a mountain in the Black Forest with an elevation of 1,284 m above sea level. It is a popular destination for day trips. Kirchzarten is a municipality in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in the federal-state of Baden-Württemberg in southwestern Germany. A Zionist agricultural training farm was founded in Kirchzarten in 1919 to prepare young people to become farmers in Mandatory Palestine. Kirchzarten is situated 6 km north of Zähringer Wand.
