The Palladium is a concert hall in Cologne, located in the immediate vicinity of the E-Werk. The building was built in 1899 as a mechanical engineering hall for the company Trefil Europe Engineering and has served as a venue for cultural events, mainly concerts, since December 1998. E-Werk is a live music venue located in Cologne, Germany. Opened in 1991, the building was a former power station built in the style of historicism. E-Werk has hosted artists such as Iggy Pop, Def Leppard, Beady Eye, Meat Loaf, Foreigner, Europe, Huey Lewis and the News, Status Quo, Guano Apes, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, AJR, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay and Ellie Goulding. E-Werk is situated 430 metres north of Carlsplatz.

The Protestant cemetery Bergisch Gladbach road in Mülheim district of Cologne existed since the beginning of the 17th century and is one of the oldest preserved cemeteries in Cologne, Germany. The cemetery is still in operation and used for burials. Cologne Mülheim Protestant Cemetery is situated 420 metres south of Carlsplatz.
