Located on State Route 17 south of the eponymous hamlet of Harriman, the station serves trains of Metro-North Railroad's Port Jervis Line, which operates between Port Jervis station in Port Jervis, New York and Hoboken Terminal in Hoboken, New Jersey. Harriman station is situated 1¼ miles south of Mary Harriman Park.
