The Fort São Sebastião of Castro Marim is located in the village, parish and municipality of Castro Marim, in the District of Faro, in Portugal. The fort is located to the south of Monte do Castelo, in Serra do Cabeço, where there was originally a hermitage under the invocation of Saint Sebastian, demolished during the fortification works. Fort São Sebastião is situated 3 km southwest of Guadiana International Bridge.

According to the 2015 census, the city had a population of 20,357 inhabitants. Ayamonte is situated 2½ km southeast of Guadiana International Bridge.
