Maarian uimaranta

Maarian uimaranta is a beach in Turku, Archipelago Sea, Finland Proper which is located on Karhunojantie. Maarian uimaranta is situated nearby to the archaeological site Jäkärlän Kivikautinen Asuinpaikka, as well as near the dog park Jäkärlän koira-aitaus.

Liên Tâm Monastery is a Buddhist monastery located in Moisio, Turku. It is the first Buddhist monastery inaugurated in Finland. The monastery is administered by the Vietnamese Buddhist Association of Finland. Liên Tâm Monastery is situated 3½ km west of Maarian uimaranta.

Jäkärlä is a district in the Maaria-Paattinen ward of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located to the north of the city, and is a very sparsely populated area.

Maaria is a former municipality of Finland in what is now the northern part of the city of Turku. The area has been inhabited since the Iron Age, and it became an important village in the 15th century with the construction of a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
