French Cable Station

The French Cable Station is a historic telegraph station on the southeast corner of Cove Road and MA 28 in Orleans, Massachusetts. It was built in 1891 by the French Cable Company, which was installing numerous cables in Cape Cod throughout the late 19th century. French Cable Station is situated 1¼ miles north of Public Landing.

Higgins Pond is a 25-acre kettle pond in Brewster, Massachusetts. It is located in Nickerson State Park. The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife stocks the pond in spring with various trout species. Higgins Pond is situated 2 miles southwest of Public Landing.
