St. Augustine Catholic Church

St. Augustine Catholic Church is a Catholic parish in Washington, D.C. It is considered by many to be the "Mother Church of Black Catholics", as the first Black parish in the district and the administrator of D.C.'s oldest surviving Black school.

The theater, located on "Washington's Black Broadway", served the city's African American community when segregation kept them out of other venues. Lincoln Theatre is situated 1,500 feet east of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
