Lake Amvrakia or Ambracia is a freshwater lake in Aetolia-Acarnania, in western Greece. It lies between the towns of Agrinio and Amphilochia, and is 13.8 kilometres long, 3.8 kilometres wide and has a maximum depth of 40 metres. Lake Amvrakia is situated 4 km east of Κοιμητήριο Κονοπίνας.

Medeon or Medion was a town in the interior of ancient Acarnania, on the road from Stratus and Phytia to Limnaea on the Ambraciot Gulf. Thucydides mentions that it was crossed by the Spartan army during the Peloponnesian War, under the command of Eurylochus, between Phytia and Limnaea, on its march to Battle of Olpae in 426 BCE. Medeon is situated 3½ km north of Κοιμητήριο Κονοπίνας.
