It has Japan's second-largest station building and is one of the country's largest buildings, incorporating a shopping mall, hotel, movie theater, Isetan department store, and several local government facilities under one 15-story roof. Kyōto Station is situated 550 metres east of Kyoto Computer Gakuin.

Tō-ji Temple, a.k.a. the Kyō-ō-gokoku-ji is a Shingon Buddhist temple in the Minami-ku ward of Kyoto, Japan. Founded in 796, Tō-ji Temple was one of the only three Buddhist temples allowed in the city at the time it became the capital of Japan. East Temple is situated 630 metres southwest of Kyoto Computer Gakuin.
