La Grande Arche de la Défense, originally called La Grande Arche de la Fraternité, is a monument and building in the business district of La Défense and in the commune of Puteaux, to the west of Paris, France. Grande Arche is situated 1½ km northwest of Kiosque de l’Île de Puteaux.

Esplanade de La Défense is a station on Paris Métro Line 1 on the outskirts of La Défense on the border of Courbevoie and Puteaux. It has an island platform because of limitations on space due it being enclosed in a site originally earmarked for one of the underpasses of the A14 autoroute. Esplanade de La Défense station is situated 520 metres north of Kiosque de l’Île de Puteaux.
