Bottle Lake is an area in the north-east of Christchurch with a low number of residents. Most of the area is covered by Bottle Lake Forest, which has since the mid-1970s become a popular recreation area.

Queen Elizabeth II Park

Queen Elizabeth II Stadium was a multi-use stadium in Christchurch, New Zealand, located in a large park called Queen Elizabeth II Park. The stadium had a capacity of 25,000 people and was built in 1973 to host the 1974 British Commonwealth Games, with a temporary 10,000 seat western stand erected for that event to take the capacity to 35,000. Queen Elizabeth II Park is situated 2½ km southeast of Reka Reserve.

Parklands is a suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand. It is located north east of the city centre near Bottle Lake Forest. The area between Burwood Hospital and Waimairi Golf Club was occupied by a brickworks established by John Brightling.

Marshland is a semi-rural suburb on the northern side of Christchurch city. The land is primarily used for horticulture and dairy farming. The suburb is named for the peaty soil, and was also called Rhodes' Swamp after landowner and politician Robert Heaton Rhodes.

Burwood is a north-eastern suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand. The suburb is mostly a residential area and is centred on Burwood Hospital, Travis Wetland Nature Heritage Park and Bottle Lake Forest. Burwood is situated 2½ km south of Reka Reserve.
