The Oku Street Reserve is an 8-hectare park in Wellington, New Zealand. It is located on a promontory between the suburbs of Island Bay and Ōwhiro Bay, and looks down over Taputeranga Marine Reserve and Ōwhiro Bay. Oku Street Reserve is situated 300 metres north of Victoria University Coastal Ecology Laboratory.

HMNZS Wellington was a Leander-class frigate of the Royal Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy. Originally commissioned in 1969 for the Royal Navy as HMS Bacchante, she joined the RNZN in 1982. She was decommissioned in 1999 and sunk in 2005. HMNZS Wellington is situated 1½ km southeast of Victoria University Coastal Ecology Laboratory.
