Located 13 km north of Hazelton, the community is situated within the Kispiox Indian reserve and is managed by the Kispiox Band Council. Kispiox is situated 6 km northwest of Dax Oosit.

Hazelton is a village municipality in the Skeena region of west central British Columbia, Canada. The place is on the southeast side of the Skeena River immediately north of the Bulkley River mouth, where the confluence forms a peninsula. Hazelton is situated 9 km southwest of Dax Oosit.
