Cheong Wa Dae, also known as the Blue House, is a public park that was the former executive office and residence of the president of South Korea. Located in Seoul's Jongno District, directly behind Gyeongbokgung Palace, it served as the center of presidential administration and state receptions from 1948 until 2022. Cheong Wa Dae is situated 480 metres north of Hyangwonjeong.

The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea is a contemporary art museum with four branches in Gwacheon, Deoksugung, Seoul and Cheongju. The museum was first established in 1969 as the only national art museum in the country accommodating modern and contemporary art of Korea and international art of different time periods. National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is situated 490 metres southeast of Hyangwonjeong.
