Schlotheim is a town and a former municipality in the Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis district, in Thuringia, Germany. It is situated 14 kilometres east of Mühlhausen. Since December 2019, it is part of the town Nottertal-Heilinger Höhen.

Marolterode is a municipality in the Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis district of Thuringia, Germany. Located just east of another small town, Schlotheim, it is placed in between Bundesstraßen 249 and 84. Marolterode is situated 3 km southeast of Solarpark Schlotheim.
