Amphilochian Argos was the chief town of ancient Amphilochia, situated at the eastern extremity of the Ambraciot Gulf, on the river Inachus. Its territory was called Argeia. Amphilochian Argos is situated 460 metres northeast of Ancient Theatre of Argos Amfilochiko.
