Tokiwa Shrine
Tokiwa Jinja is a Shinto shrine adjacent to the gardens of Kairakuen in Mito, Ibaraki, Japan. Founded in 1874, enshrined are Tokugawa Mitsukuni, second daimyō of the Mito Domain and compiler of Dai Nihonshi, and Tokugawa Nariaki, ninth lord and founder of the nearby Kōdōkan han school.Photo: Stanislaus, Public domain.

Kairaku-en is a Japanese garden located in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Along with Kenroku-en and Koraku-en, it is considered one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan. Kairakuen is situated 240 metres west of Tokiwa Shrine.

Kairakuen Station is a passenger railway station on the Jōban Line in Mito, Ibaraki, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company. It is a "seasonal" station which serves the nearby Kairaku-en gardens, and is open only during the plum blossom season in February and March. Kairakuen Station is situated 210 metres south of Tokiwa Shrine.
