The Anchorage Alaska Temple is the 54th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the first in Alaska. Dedicated on January 9, 1999, by church president Gordon B.

The Alaska Zoo is a zoo in Anchorage, Alaska, located on 25 acres of the Anchorage Hillside. It is a popular attraction in Alaska, with nearly 200,000 visitors per year. Alaska Zoo is situated 1½ miles northeast of Huffman Timbers.
