Arkéa Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Floirac, near Bordeaux in France. Opened in January 2018, it offers a capacity for all types of shows and events from 2,500 to 11,300. The arena is mainly used for concerts and sporting events. Arkéa Arena is situated 680 metres southeast of Carrelet.

It is the southern terminus of the Paris–Bordeaux railway, and the western terminus of the Chemins de fer du Midi main line from Toulouse. Bordeaux-Saint-Jean station is situated 1¼ km west of Carrelet.

The Simone Veil Bridge is a passageway across the Garonne river in Bordeaux, France. It was designed by OMA/Rem Koolhaas. It is the overall widest bridge in Europe, measuring 550 meters long and 44 meters wide, purposely doubled in width with a massive concrete platform for pedestrians, bicyclists. and public transit. Simone Veil Bridge is situated 530 metres south of Carrelet.
