Opened by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in 1990, the camp is home to more than 12,000 refugees from Liberia who fled their country during the First Liberian Civil War and the Second Liberian Civil War. Buduburam is situated 9 km south of Odupong Community Senior High School.
