The Tashkent Television Tower is a 375-metre-high tower, located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and is the twelfth tallest tower in the world. Construction started in 1978. Tashkent Tower is situated 230 metres south of Art Gallereya.

The Museum of Victims of Political Repression in Tashkent is a museum which tells the history of Uzbekistan during the political repression in the Soviet Union, in particular that of the people killed at that time. Museum of Victims of Political Repression is situated 350 metres east of Art Gallereya.

Shahriston is a station of the Tashkent Metro on Yunusobod Line. It was opened on 24 October 2001 as part of the inaugural section of the line, between Ming O‘rik and Habib Abdullayev. Shahristan is situated 700 metres northeast of Art Gallereya.

Tashkent is the capital and largest city of Uzbekistan, with a population of just over 3 million in 2024. It was an ancient city on the Silk Road, the network of trading routes between China and Europe, but what you see now is mostly modern - it was wrecked by an earthquake in 1966 and rebuilt in Soviet style, with humdrum medium-raise lining interminable boulevards.
