Warwick is a city in just south of . It is the third largest city in the state, with 83,000 people. It was founded in 1642 by Samuel Gorton, and played an important role in the Revolutionary War.

The is an historic animal pound on Cowesett Road in Warwick, Rhode Island. The pound, a roughly square structure built of unmortared fieldstone four to five feet in height, is estimated to have been built in 1742 by David Greene, although there was an older pound already at the site.
