Whakatane

Whakatāne is a coastal town in the eastern on 's . It is one of the sunniest towns in New Zealand. The nearby village of Ōhope, only about 7 minutes by car through a gorgeous pass with stunning views of the ocean, features one of the best beaches in the entire country, which has won numerous "Best Beach" awards over the years.
