Shigatse

Shigatse, officially spelled Xigazê, is the second largest city in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is 3,800 meters above sea level.
Gyantse

Gyantse, officially Gyangzê Town, is a town located in Gyantse County, Shigatse Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It was historically considered the third largest and most prominent town in Tibet, but there are now at least ten larger Tibetan cities.

Sakya Monastery, also known as Pel Sakya, is a Buddhist monastery situated in Sa'gya Town, Sa'gya County, about 127 kilometres west of Shigatse in the Tibet Autonomous Region, China.

Dram

Dram is a town in Xigatse Prefecture. At 2350 m above sea level, it belongs more to the world of Nepal than the high plateau of Tibet.
Tingri
Gangga, or Tingri, is a town in Tingri County, in the south of the Tibet Autonomous Region. It is often used as a base by mountain climbers preparing to ascend Mount Everest or Cho Oyu.
Shelkar

Shelkar or Shekar, also called New Tingri, is a town in, and the administrative centre for, Tingri County, Shigatse in southern Tibet Autonomous Region. The town has a population of 9,528, per the 2010 Chinese census.

Nyalam

Nyalam is a small town in and the county seat of Nyalam County in the Shigatse Prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region, near the Nepal border. It is 35 km from Zhangmu town in the same county, which is the point of entry to Nepal.
