Eyl is an ancient port town in the northeastern Nugal region of Puntland Somalia. It's one of the four districts of Nugal region,Eyl, also called Illig, temporarily became a government-in-exile haven for the Dervish State between 1905 and 1908. Eyl is situated 6 km west of Arin Ragazz.
