Al Mahrah Governorate

Al-Mahrah, or simply Mahra, is the easternmost governorate of , situated in the southern part of the . Bordered by to the east and the desert to the north, it is often referred to as the country's "Eastern Gateway." Its capital is , and it remains the least populated governorate in Yemen, accounting for only 0.5% of the national population.
