Minushahr is a city in, and the capital of, Minu District of Khorramshahr County, Khuzestan province, Iran. It also serves as the administrative center for Jazireh-ye Minu Rural District. Minooshahr is situated 5 km northeast of Al Khvorah.

Abadan is a city of 230,000 people in Khuzestan, in the southwest of Iran. It is a port city and oil refining center. During the 1980 Iran-Iraq war, the city was emptied of people and heavily damaged.
