Dur-Kurigalzu was a city in southern Mesopotamia, near the confluence of the Tigris and Diyala rivers, about 30 kilometres west of the center of Baghdad. Dur-Kurigalzu ziggurat is situated 5 km northeast of Abu Ghraib.
