Jabal Soudah is officially recognized by the Saudi authorities as the highest point in Saudi Arabia, with an elevation of 3,015 metres, though a 2018 survey measured an elevation of 2,999 metres, slightly lower than Jabal Ferwa at 3,002 metres.
