Garagöl is a coastal village in Balkan Province, Turkmenistan. It is subordinate to Hazar, which is subordinate to Balkanabat, a city with district status. In 2022, it had population of 765 people. Garagöl is situated 4½ km northwest of Alaja.

Hazar, known as Çeleken until 1999 is a seaport town located on the Cheleken Peninsula of the Caspian Sea. In November 2022, it was downgraded from city-with-district-status to a town and, along with Gumdag, became subordinate to the city of Balkanabat. Hazar is situated 9 km northwest of Alaja.
