The Allenby Bridge, known officially in Jordan as the King Hussein Bridge, is a bridge that crosses the Jordan River near the city of Jericho in the West Bank and the town of Al-Karameh in Jordan. Allenby Bridge is situated 2½ km southwest of Tall al Gharābah.

Al-Maghtas, officially known as Baptism Site "Bethany Beyond the Jordan", is an archaeological World Heritage Site in Jordan, on the east bank of the Jordan River, reputed to be the location of the Baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist and venerated as such since at least the Byzantine period. Al Maghtas is situated 6 km south of Tall al Gharābah.
