Queen Alia International Airport is an international airport located in Zizya, 30 kilometers south of Amman, the capital and largest city of Jordan. It is the largest airport in the country, named after Queen Alia, who died in a helicopter crash in 1977. Queen Alia International Airport is situated 3½ km northeast of Maḩaţţat al Jīzah.
