Ambaria is a rock in the Meteora rock formation complex of Thessaly, Greece. Ambaria has cave hermitages formerly inhabited by Orthodox Christian ascetics. The Panagia Monastery was likely located at Ambaria. Ambaria is situated 4 km northeast of Diava.

The monastery-crowned pillars of Meteora are among the most striking geological and cultural gems of Greece. The formation consists of a number of steep and narrow rock pinnacles near the town of Kalambaka in northwestern Thessaly, topped with a total of 24 monasteries, 6 of which are still in use and open to visitors.
