Urla
Urla is a municipality and district of İzmir Province, in western Turkey. Its area is 727 km2, and its population is 74,736. Klazomenai or Clazomenae was one of the 12 cities of ancient Ionia. It is located at the south coast of Smyrna Gulf, Ionia, and a member of the Ionian League. Clazomene Island is situated 4½ km north of Urla.
